Land Acknowledgement

We acknowledge that the lands and waters we move through in Puerto Natales, Torres del Paine, Cerro Guido, Serrano Village, and the Baguales range are the ancestral territories of the Kawésqar, Aonikenk (Tehuelche), and Selk’nam peoples. For thousands of years, these communities lived in relationship with the winds, waters, and mountains of southern Patagonia, shaping unique cultures of resilience and reciprocity with the land.

We recognize that colonization, sheep ranching, and settlement violently displaced many of these peoples and disrupted their lifeways. Yet their presence endures in living descendants, in stories carried forward, and in the spirit of these lands themselves. As we run, hike, and share time in these landscapes, we commit to honoring their legacy, moving with humility, and respecting Patagonia as a living, sacred territory.
