Running Retreat

Oaxaca Day of the Dead: Trail Running Immersion

“I had never felt closer to the sky than I did in Oaxaca. I had never experienced such love and wholeness for those that have passed on. I had never experienced welcoming like the open doors that received us. The People of the Clouds have gifted me perspective on how to love; not with my reality, but with my smile.

We came in as individuals and grew into a family…not wanting the experience to end, and happy to keep our head in the clouds.”

–Leander R.

OUR COMMUNITY

My experience was terrific. I have never done a group trip like this as an adult (as a kid - avid summer camper & high school sport and club nerd here). I would recommend AL to anyone who runs, likes nature and has an open mind.
- Yana Polikarpov, participant in Costa Rica, 2022 edition.
As someone who finds tremendous joy in running and exploring the outdoors with like-minded people, this trip was everything I could hope for. I appreciated how everyone was considered and was equally important.
-Amy Willis, participant in Mexico City & Surroundings, 2021 edition
A wonderful balance of running, mindful movement and personal time in some of the most beautiful landscapes the UK has to offer. Thank you to George, Jo and the whole Aire Libre team for creating a wonderful, engaging and supportive escape.
- Tom Hill, participant in Knoydart Peninsula, 2020 edition
I hadn’t gone on a trip like this before, but I must say, I feel like I need more of these experiences in my future. I’m already spreading the word to friends and family of my experience as I think everyone should take the time to unplug and explore the world accompanied by curious minds just like you.”
- Shawn H, participant in Portugal, 2024 edition
